To Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Bukayo Saka, and people across Britain:
Racism should have no home in this country. It's not who we are and it's not who Britain should be.
But it thrives in the company of silence -- so today, as Brits from across this beautiful country, we stand together to firmly reject the racist abuse you have faced.
We embrace the multicultural, multilingual, and multiracial Britain that you have helped to champion. Our strength is in our diversity!
The fight against racism belongs to us all. We pledge to do our part, confronting racism and firmly meeting its fear and ignorance with the best of our hope, love, and humanity.
Thank you for your incredible courage. You have done our country proud.

But then we lost the final, and a torrent of racist abuse was unleashed on three black players.
We can't let such hatred go unchallenged.
Because this is about so much more than football. Those making vicious, hateful comments carry their views with them into the world. So we either refute their vitriol, or allow it to fester in public, infecting more and more of our communities.
So now's our chance -- let's mount a deafening call to drown out the racism with a massive public open letter of support. When we reach 100,000 names, Avaaz will publish the letter in a major national paper, and we'll do our best to ensure that Rashford, Sancho, Saka, and the English team see our words.
We can't be silent in the face of such bare-faced racism. Sign with one click and share with everyone you can!
