Your abusive and sexist comments against your colleague Senator Hanson-Young are against the very spirit of gender equality that our country is committed to, and do not reflect Australian values. An apology is not enough -- your persistent anti-woman rhetoric has shown you’re not fit to represent us, and we call on you to resign.

Leyonhjelm: your time is up!
Last week, Senator David Leyonhjelm told his colleague Senator Sarah Hanson-Young to “stop shagging men” and “f--k off” in the middle of a debate around -- of all things -- violence against women. Then he called a Channel 10 reporter a “bigoted bitch” when she reported on his brutish behaviour!

This is simple: behavior like this cannot be tolerated. It is a shameful display from a political figure, an embarrassment for the country, and a profound insult to all Australian women.

There’s a growing chorus demanding his apology, but it’s not enough. Leyonhjelm must be swiftly condemned to send a clear message that there’s no place in government for his sexist ideology. Add your name to call for his resignation -- when we reach 50,000 signers, we’ll publish our call in the Canberra Times!
