We’ve seen a huge spike in hate-crimes directed at immigrants. Often caught on mobile phones, these acts of violence have been echoed across the media, emboldening the perpetrators.

So here’s a plan to show that love beats hate -- we offer welcomes to those of us who may be feeling threatened in these uncertain times, and flood the media and towns across the country with messages of love.

It’s easy: 

1. Use the box on the right to share a warm hearted message with immigrants and Avaaz staff will print as many as possible onto posters that will go up around towns.
2. Now take 1 minute to make a video showcasing an act of connection -- it could be to offer hugs in the street, delivering a welcome card to a refugee, or flowers to families that have been targeted, it could be anything at all which welcomes immigrants, or connects us to people we don’t know in our communities. Record your act of love on your phone and use the box on the bottom right to upload your video. Avaaz staff will send the videos to the media so our love is broadcast across the country! 

Let’s all join in and show there are more of us filled with love, than with hate across this land.
