Peru: stop the mining murders
Peru’s national police came in the night, slit the throat of Maxima’s family dog, destroyed her crops and left— all because Maxima lives in the way of a major mining project.

This is how over 35 foreign companies pillage Peru: hire police under private contracts, harass and even murder farmers who refuse to run away, then mine until the land is barren and useless.

But a group of NGOs are suing Peru to stop the police abuses and end the mining murders, and with enough opposition globally, they can settle the case before it even gets to court!
