No lost generation - a fair plan for refugees

To the US, Canada, German and all world leaders:

As global citizens, we call on you to commit your fair share to clearly surpass the goals at the Leaders’ Summit on Refugees to get 1 million additional refugee kids to school, grant work permits to 1 million parents, increase humanitarian funding by 30% and double the number of relocations. This can only be the first step to a full Global Shared Responsibility to turn this crisis into an opportunity.

No lost generation - a fair plan for refugees
Blood and dust is covering little Omran’s face. His eyes are empty. He's just sitting there in shock. A bomb tore apart his house. Killed his brother. “Why?” he'll ask one day, was no one there to help us...

Omran is just one of millions of innocent Syrian kids who are suffering from this never-ending war.

We could just give up right now, because it all feels so damn overwhelming. But we can’t, we just can’t. To be blunt, all the summits to address this crisis so far produced little more hot air. Now there’s finally a serious proposal on the table that takes a step in the right direction -- to get one million refugee kids into school and create an orderly, effective system to deal with the chaos. But will our governments act?

My honest answer is: I don’t know. But I know that I want to do everything I can to help kids like Omran. Join us, if you feel the same way -- once we hit a million signatures, we’ll deliver it right into the summit on September 20th:
