Nuclear weapon states have stated that a nuclear war must never be fought, but they continue to enhance their nuclear arsenals and trade threats about using nuclear weapons--actions which have brought us to the brink of nuclear war. IPPNW joins our Nobel colleagues in urging the UN Secretary-General to call on all nations to join the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons to end this existential threat to humanity.
