As citizens from across the world, we are deeply concerned by the vast exploitation of our world's oceans. We urge you to commit to set aside at least 30% of national waters as Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and actively work to establish MPAs in areas of joint international management. Life originated in our oceans and only by protecting them can we prevent further loss in biodiversity and ensure they can be enjoyed by future generations.
