In days the UN could recognise a Palestinian state - this is the best chance in decades for peace and freedom in the Middle East. If Europe votes yes, it could jump-start a resolution of the conflict and break the chains that have held peace hostage to failed talks for decades.

A “yes” vote could save the dream of two states, Palestine and Israel, living side by side in peace and security. If enough European countries support the bid, it will move us decisively beyond the era of failed talks and break the chains that have shackled peace. But only massive public counter-pressure on European leaders from their own citizens, can drown out intense American bullying.
