In another life, it could be any of us running from the bombs in Gaza. It could be our children starving and alone.

That's what politicians realise when they hear from doctors who've worked in Gaza -- some of the only eye witnesses to make it out alive.

They've held babies with third degree burns, amputated arms and legs from tiny bodies, and seen mothers too emaciated to breastfeed. When they tell their stories, something changes. I know because I was in the room.

In over a decade working at Avaaz, I've never been to a political meeting where almost every single person broke down into tears. The excuses fall apart, paving the way for action. This is how we break through.

Some governments have stopped supplying weapons or announced sanctions. Our task is to turn that trickle into a tidal wave, and I'm asking for your support.

Right now Avaaz is organising to take many more doctors to meet with as many Presidents and Ministers as we can. They ultimately have the power to stop this genocide and release a flood of humanitarian aid.

We cannot deliver aid ourselves; Israel's blockade makes that almost impossible. But we can fight like hell to make our governments intervene.

As a father myself, there is a fire in me, burning for the children of Gaza. I will not stop -- because I know it could so easily be my child under the rubble, and me pleading for the world to do something.
