You’ve shown courage before by speaking up for Gaza. 260,000 people are trapped in El Fasher, Sudan. No food. No water. No way out. Fighters are closing in and families are digging shallow graves to bury their loved ones. Experts say the city could fall any moment, and when it does, they fear mass atrocities.

But one unlikely voice could help to put on the spotlight the looming massacre: Pep Guardiola.

He’s not a politician. He’s not a diplomat. But as the star manager of Manchester City – a club owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates – Pep’s in a rare position to be heard by those who can help stop the killing: the UAE is backing the brutal RSF forces surrounding El Fasher.
