Stop poisoning the poor
To EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU Environment Commissioner Jessika Roswall:
As citizens from around the EU we are coming together to urge you to fulfill your promise to end the deadly export of toxic pesticides that are banned within our borders. We call on you to submit a legislative proposal before the end of the year and ensure it is adopted without delay.

Getting a direct hit of poisonous pesticide can send someone straight to intensive care. Long-term exposure can cause cancer, infertility, and other horrible health conditions – especially among kids, the pregnant, and the elderly.
Many of these toxic chemicals are illegal here – but that doesn’t stop European companies from sending them to Brazil and across the world - so they poison people abroad and then end up on our plates anyway when poisoned food is imported back to the EU.
Only government action can stop this, and we have a key window of possibility: seven EU leaders and more than 600 organizations are demanding the EU Commission end this deadly double standard – despite strong opposition from big business.
Allies say EU leaders are already feeling the heat – If we come together in massive numbers, we can help tip them into action, showing the Commission they have a massive mandate from EU citizens to stand up to pesticide giants and finally ban these toxic exports for good. Partners are planning a powerful action in Brussels to deliver the call - join now to make it massive!
