We, citizens of the world, call on you to immediately investigate Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro for possible crimes against humanity over his government’s policies against the Amazon and its people. It's time to act, and ensure that the widespread or long-term damage to the environment is fully recognized as a crime of ecocide, and properly prosecuted under international law.

The Amazon is being murdered -- and all eyes are on Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro.

He's greenlighted illegal mining and logging in Indigenous lands, sabotaged environmental laws, and done virtually nothing to stop the destruction of Earth's most precious rainforests -- a loss equivalent to 3,000 football fields per day!

He thought he could get away with it -- til now. Brave lawyers have accused Bolsonaro of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court for his alleged attacks on the Amazon and its defenders. But now they need our help to ensure the Prosecutor takes the case up.

It takes extraordinary courage to investigate a sitting President, but Mr. Karim Khan has built a reputation for being tough minded, and not afraid to make enemies. Let’s urgently support him with one million signatures from all over the world -- Avaaz's partners will deliver our voices to the Prosecutor’s office as the Court’s annual assembly opens in days.
