Gaza Hunger Crisis
While the world is focused on the war in Iran, Israel is throttling aid into Gaza again -- when 100,000 children are already facing acute malnutrition.
And that doesn't just mean that children are going hungry.
With acute malnutrition, the body actually starts eating itself -- first any fat stores, then the muscles and heart. Children wake up crying from starvation, and the smallest infection can become deadly.
We have to do something -- and we know how.
Across Gaza, farmers and community groups are racing to revive farmlands that Israel bombed in the genocide. Over 86% of farms were damaged, making Gaza almost entirely reliant on aid. But now community groups are fixing the greenhouses, irrigation lines, and water wells. They're growing tomatoes, aubergines, beans and yams -- already providing over 6,000 tons of fresh food.
It takes $10 to grow about 25kg (55lbs) of food. Imagine what they could do if thousands of us chipped in! Together we could help to revive Gaza's broken food systems, building community resilience and helping families to survive, even as Israel tightens its grip again.
Your donation will go directly to trusted community groups in Gaza -- and you'll also be supporting Avaaz campaigns, working alongside Palestinians to protect children's futures.
This is a chance to do more than respond to a catastrophe. It's an opportunity to help Gaza rise from the ashes, rebuilding what violence has tried to erase. Please donate what you can now.
