Hunting gays is not a game
To the International Olympic Committee and the Olympics' corporate sponsors:
As global citizens concerned about equality for all, we oppose the decision to hold the 2014 Olympics in Russia while that government hunts down and jails its gay citizens and their allies. We call on you to do all in your power to demand the repeal of homophobic laws by the Russian authorities and undo this stain on sport.

Life for gay Russians is pretty terrifying, as athletes' families will soon find out. Neo-nazi groups have taken the new anti-gay law into their own hands -- violently beating gay people, while police arrest everyday citizens simply for supporting a gay family member or friend. Just this week the Interior Ministry confirmed that athletes and their loved ones will be subject to the same harsh punishment.
There’s one world-leader who has the power to keep all athletes and Russians safe and get Russia to change the law: the International Olympic Committee. Russia has invested billions into the Sochi games, and if they think they’re going to lose control of them, they’ll likely axe the controversial law to save their dream moment in the international spotlight. In days the IOC Executive Board will meet -- click here to call on them to stand up to Russia and say no to a Games unsafe for gays and we’ll delivery the petition directly to their door in Geneva!
