Trump just said that he can take over Cuba and “do anything I want with it”.

But that’s illegal – and it’s time for leaders to stand together and call him out publicly.

Many leaders have tread lightly as Trump has threatened Mexico, toyed with taking over Greenland, and bombed schoolchildren in Iran – but he’s a bully, and if leaders don’t join forces and push back now, he could go even further.

This moment could be a turning point: when a united Europe finally stood up to Trump, he abandoned plans to invade Greenland. Now, with further attacks looming, we can push Latin American leaders to stand together, draw a line, and fight for a collective future where international law matters and no region can be dragged back towards colonial domination.
