Each year in Spain, up to a 100,000 dogs are killed after being used just a few times for hunting. Many are beaten, burned, and tortured to death, and some of the pups die from the “piano dance” -- hung from their necks with their paws barely touching the ground.

It’s sickening and crazy that this is happening in Spain of all places, but momentum is building to stop it!

Research shows that when it comes to emotions, dogs’ brains are similar to ours, and for many of us, they’re like family.

Now Spain is the only country in the EU that still allows this horrific practice, and most people there are turning against animal cruelty. So if millions of us join them now demanding an end to this torture, we can save these pups from unimaginable pain before the next hunting season starts.

Once we hit a million, Avaaz will pull out all the stops with hard-hitting ads, national opinion polls, and high-level meetings until we see real action that protects these poor dogs.
