Avaaz has almost secured emergency visas for all the women to relocate to Brazil and other safe countries. Support from Avaaz members has been crucial.

These women defied one of the world’s most brutal regimes. Many were jailed, tortured, or hunted for speaking out. Now, after escaping to Pakistan, they’re hiding from police who are deporting people back to Afghanistan -- where the Taliban are waiting.
