Stop this monster pipeline!

Stop this monster pipeline!

I write from Uganda, scared to even show my face.

French oil giant Total wants to build one of the longest oil pipelines in the world. It would tear through two countries, ripping up protected forests, wildlife parks, and small farms like mine.

I'm a single mother, and I'm being forced to sell my farm for peanuts -- while oil bosses drink champagne.

100,000 people will lose their homes, and we're getting beaten and arrested for speaking up. But now we have a chance to stop this monster pipeline.

Our case is about to start at the East African Court of Justice, and judges want to hear our stories. Their ruling could end this nightmare -- but the court is far away, and many of us can't afford the bus.

Avaaz members have supported us from the start. Thank you.

Now, if we raise enough from this email, farmers like me could travel to court and our legal team can prepare for the hearing. We can help dozens of people who've been arrested for peaceful protests, and Avaaz could create international media attention so the whole world sees what's happening to us.

For me, everything is on the line. It's all I think about. But this pipeline is a danger to all of us, because climate change threatens all of us.

This fight is for all our children, and your contribution will make a real difference. Please donate what you can -- we're preparing for court right now.
