As citizens from across the world, we urgently implore you to press Sudan's rival leaders to cease the war they've sparked. Stopping this conflict can prevent another Darfur-like catastrophe, which claimed 200,000 lives. We plead for an impartial investigation into the crimes committed in Darfur. Picture the bone-chilling terror: you are forced to bury bodies - mothers, children, friends - in an unmarked pit. This is the horrifying reality in Sudan’s Darfur where local communities were forced to become gravediggers.

Two decades ago, genocide claimed over 200,000 lives in Darfur, and war raged for more than 15 years. We can’t let history repeat itself. But the killers are back with a new name.

The Janjaweed have become the Rapid Support Forces – and the mass grave with 87 ruthlessly discarded bodies outside of El-Geneina, stands as a horrifying symbol of their impunity.
