To the Arab League, European Union, United States, and Friends of Syria:

As global citizens, we call on you to take immediate action to stop the deadly terror in Syria. Enough is enough. We ask you to immediately demand a ceasefire to stop the bloodshed so that parties can come to the negotiating table to agree on a way forward. Until a ceasefire is reached, we call on you to work together and with the international community to enforce a no fly zone to stop the bombardment of Syria’s civilians and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those most in need.

Syria: the last straw
Syria is turning into something our grandkids will ask us about. 80,000 killed, thousands tortured, millions fleeing. And now, the worst thing we've feared may be happening as several countries believe President Assad has begun using chemical weapons.

This is the last straw. The international community has dithered for too long -- it's time to demand they act by calling for an immediate ceasefire to stop the bloodshed. And until all sides put down their weapons, let’s demand a no-fly zone to prevent Assad from raining his terror down on cities and ensure that humanitarian aid can get to those in need.

The United States and members of the European Union have made it clear to Assad that using chemical weapons was a 'red line'. He's calling their bluff, and by dithering they're sending him the worst kind of message. Let's send them ours. In 2 days, countries will meet to lay the groundwork for peace talks -- let’s act now to tell them the horrors have gone on long enough.
