We support you a 100% on your efforts to use this month’s World Bank Spring Meeting in Washington DC to raise the money needed to stop today’s famines and take the long term action needed to prevent tomorrow’s. Stop the Starvation
Six years ago, I watched a heartbroken mother bury her tiny daughter by the side of the road, one victim of famine amongst thousands, and I promised I would fight to stop this ever happening again.

Now’s our chance to do just that. Not one, but FOUR famines are unfolding, in Somalia, South Sudan, Yemen, and Nigeria. And they’ve come at the worst possible time. Aid donors are stretched by Syria; the US is turning inwards under Trump; Britain is distracted by Brexit.

But a tiny glimmer of hope rests with just two men -- the heads of the UN and the World Bank.

They’re about to host a crucial famine summit in Washington to raise funds and tackle the causes of this mega-crisis. If we build a massive demand for action ahead of the meeting, we can give them the leverage they need to prevent governments passing the buck -- and stop the starvation now!
