Mexican President Lopez Obrador has authorized the killing of over 10 million trees!

All this to give way for a massive train project that will pierce Mexico's Mayan rainforest -- and the carnage has already started.

Local communities are throwing everything they can to stop this madness: protests, marches, lawsuits and more -- but they fear they don't have the strength to stop it.

With elections looming, President Lopez Obrador is racing to finish it, including by sending the army to harass local communities, and ignoring a court order that demands the government stops the construction until key environment safeguards are in place.
