Less than 2 weeks to sign Wendy's petition to drop the anti-LGBT charges

To Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs:

As citizens across the world, we stand in solidarity with Wendy and Diana. We demand that you drop all charges against them at their court date on the 15th June. Love should never be a crime!

Less than 2 weeks to sign Wendy's petition to drop the anti-LGBT charges

My name is Wendy, and I'm 23 years old. I love music. I love performing. But above all, I love my girlfriend Diana.

The last time I met her we were beaten. I still have the scars on my knees.

Last year, the police raided our home, arrested us and dragged us into a nightmare no one should ever face - all because, in Uganda, our love can be punished by life in prison or death.

As I write to you, we have been released on bail. But we are not free. Now, we have less than two weeks to convince the government to drop the charges.

Just last month, the government dropped an LGBT case after massive international outcry. They could drop the charges against us too, but the government won’t listen unless the world is watching.

N.B the woman depicted in this campaign is not Wendy. We have not used a photo of her to protect her identity.
