We condemn the gagging and jailing of peaceful climate protesters in UK courts. We call on you to stop silencing and jailing truth tellers. This sentence is a punch in the gut for all of us: Peaceful climate activists will spend the next four to five years in overcrowded prisons.

For what? Leading a video call about a protest against the last government’s failure to act on climate change and its plans to “max out” on oil and gas instead.

This sentence is the tragic result of extreme Tory laws that treat peaceful climate protesters as violent offenders – enabling courts to sentence them to up to 10 years in jail! Meanwhile, big polluters continue to destroy our planet with absolute impunity.

Let’s demand the new Labour government repeals this Tory anti-protest legislation and starts holding corporate polluters to account instead! Sign this urgent call to PM Starmer.
