As concerned citizens we ask you to vote against the renewal of the permit for the South Lakes Safari Zoo to continue operating until minimum safety measures for humans and animals are restored. The deaths of almost 500 animals and 1 operator in the last 4 years is unacceptable, and you have the responsibility to stop further loss of lives.

1 zookeeper and almost 500 animals -- that’s the death toll at South Lakes Safari Zoo in the last 4 years. Our outcry now could force a shutdown of this deadly zoo for good.

A report compiled by Barrow council has shown horrific practices at the zoo, with animals malnourished, obese and several dying. In 4 days the council will vote on whether or not to issue a permit for the zoo to continue operating, and if we raise our voices from around the country we can push them to close it.
