Affordable, climate-saving travel for the UK
Scores of countries, from Ireland to Spain and Germany, are responding to the twin climate and cost of living crises by making travel on trains and buses simple and cheap – or even free!

Spain is scrapping fares for many journeys, while in Germany you can criss-cross the entire country for 9 Euros a month. It's a no-brainer: good for the planet by cutting down on fossil fuel use, and putting money back in people's pockets. These tickets have helped drive down city congestion and even inflation, yet the UK is actually *raising* rail prices.

This would be a concrete, popular step Britain could take right now to help people and the planet. Governments elsewhere are already showing it's possible, and wildly popular. Let's build a massive call to introduce a discounted UK rail ticket.
