These were the last words Gaza photojournalist Mariam Abu Daqqa recorded for her 10-year-old son. Hours later, she was killed - one of the 197 Palestinian journalists Israel has targeted since October 2023.

When foreign press is banned, crimes multiply in the dark…with no cameras, no witnesses, no accountability. We must not let that happen.

That’s why we must demand that the UN Security Council acts NOW to prevent the killing of more Palestinian journalists and ensures independent, international reporters can enter Gaza — immediately, and without restriction.
