As citizens across the UK, we are appalled that you continue to cruelly mock trans people, even in front of a grieving mother whose own trans child was brutally murdered. We call on you to apologise immediately and stop weaponising hatred against trans people.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak just made a cruel joke mocking trans people. And he did it right in front of the grieving mother of Brianna Ghey - the young woman murdered in a brutal, sadistic, attack, which judges found was motivated by her transgender identity.

This is shameful.

Politicians think there are votes to win in attacking and dehumanising some of the most marginalised in society – but this is our chance to show them they’re wrong, and stand up for the rights and dignity of trans people.
