Made in the UK, bombed in Yemen
While millions of people are suffering the world’s worst humanitarian crisis in Yemen, British and other European arms makers are profiting from the export of weaponry and provision of training and support to the Saudi-led military coalition responsible for attacks on civilians. From the safety of Europe, they always assumed they’ll face no consequences.

And they were right. Until now.

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda has been asked to launch an inquiry into the liability of arms makers and government officials for war crimes before she leaves office on 15 June.

She has a chance to change the course of the tragic war in Yemen. If Bensouda launches this inquiry, it will send a shockwave around Europe’s board rooms and chancelleries. The moment directors and officials see personal responsibility for war crimes as a possibility is the moment they’ll start taking different decisions. Add your name and help inspire Fatou Bensouda to make this transformation happen.
