Climate - the most important petition we've ever done

To national, local, and international leaders:

Scientists clearly warn that risking runaway climate change threatens our very survival, and the future of everything we love. We call on you to commit to keep global temperature rise under the safe level of 2 degrees celsius, by rapidly shifting our societies and economies to be powered by 100% clean energy. We call on you to urgently forge global, national and local agreements, and realistic plans, to achieve this end. Our world is worth saving and the time to act is now. But to change everything, we need everyone. Join us.

I can sincerely say this is the most important petition we've ever done.

Sorry for the language, but one top scientist just warned that we are all "f*cked" if global warming releases gigantic amounts of methane gas (25 times worse than carbon dioxide) from where its currently safely frozen into the arctic tundra. And that's just one of the catastrophic scenarios we're facing.

The UN knows this, and is bringing world leaders to New York for an emergency summit. And hundreds of thousands of us will take to the streets for the People’s Climate March on September 21. Our marches will deliver a petition for the only solution: a massive mobilization to shift our economies to 100% clean energy.

It's the biggest threat humanity is facing, and we need the biggest petition ever to meet it. The number of us who sign will be read out to all leaders at the summit, published in hundreds of media articles, and be delivered by our marches worldwide. Sign here, and forward this to everyone:
