Don't let her protest alone
Loujain Hathloul is a 25-year-old Saudi Arabian woman who is being held in prison for something most of us do every day – driving her car. Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that still makes it illegal to drive while female. Loujain knew the risk, but decided that this protest in the face of injustice was necessary for change. Now lets make sure Loujain is not protesting alone.

Saudi women have been demanding their country lift a ban that makes it illegal for them to drive. But the Interior Ministry and the King of Saudi are facing extreme pressure from religious leaders to keep the status quo. The only thing that can cut through this inside pressure is a global outcry too loud to ignore.

Click on the right to sign a letter of support to Loujain who is sitting in jail right now for driving while female. If 500,000 of us sign now, Avaaz staff will send individual letters to Loujain in prison for each of us--and will send a copy of each letter to the Interior Minister who has the power to free her and lift this ban. Lets flood the jail and the government with our voices:
