Mexico’s closest ally and most important foreign relationship is the US. The new Mexican Ambassador to the US is about to take office. Let’s greet him with our voices, calling for an end to the deadly persecution. You should say whatever you feel, but here are some suggestions:
  • I'm deeply upset by the murder of journalist Rubén Espinosa and all Mexican journalists targeted for exposing crime and government corruption.

  • Mexico needs to take immediate and drastic action to halt these bloody attacks on the press, and do everything in its power to curb attacks on free expression.

  • I'd be hesitant to visit a country where journalists are regularly murdered, and their killers never face justice.
