To Prime Minister David Cameron and all world leaders:

As citizens shocked by the facts brought to light by the Panama Papers, we call on you to immediately investigate and hold those implicated to account. We also ask you to implement tough, binding measures to combat tax evasion including a public registry of who owns and controls companies and an obligation on them to publish detailed accounts country by country. Nobody should be able to evade their duty to pay tax for the public good.

We all pay our taxes because it's the law and just something that people who aren't a-holes do. But the Panama leaks show how a vast swathe of the rich in our countries don't.

It's disgusting - our nurses, teachers, and retirees pay taxes to support our schools and hospitals, but the 1%, who are rolling in it, stash their money in offshore tax havens.

Any of us might go to jail, but these leaks show that many top politicians are evading taxes too, so they refuse to pass laws to close elite loopholes, and even when some are caught, they grant each other amnesty!

Screw that. Let's shut these disgusting tax havens down with one clear message to our leaders - pay your taxes, or lose your jobs. A major summit on this issue is being held in days, so let's send heads of state a massive petition and a flood of messages and phone calls with one message: shut down the havens for good -- or you're fired.
