142 deaths: time for an apology, not lip service
To Rakesh Kapoor, CEO of Reckitt Benckiser & Ata Safdar, Head of Reckitt Benckiser Korea:
As citizens concerned about public health and safety, we call on you to respond to the demands of the Oxy’s victims and immediately issue a public apology. We also urge you to stop legally challenging the official reports, and instead collaborate with the Korean government to ensure there is an independent investigation and all victims and their families receive due compensation. Under the banner of your company logo, “HEALTH · HYGIENE · HOME”, so many families had been destroyed and it’s time for your actions to match your reputation as socially responsible corporation.

Since the tragic events 4 years ago, Reckitt Benckiser’s Korean manufacturer have ignored the victim's’ plea for an apology. But after the family's visit to their UK headquarter, they started listening! Reckitt Benckiser is hyper sensitive about their corporate image -- if we come together now when the media and international community’s attention is still fresh, we can persuade them to answer the victims’ demands.
Victims will hold vigils in Gwanghwamun and Yeiodo for 142 days -- before their last candle blows off, let’s bring justice to all the victims. Sign now and share with everyone -- when we reach 50,000 signatures, we’ll put ads in front of major supermarkets in Korea that sell RK’s products, highlighting their corporate responsibility.
