Reward diversity, don't punish it

To Korean Communication Standards Commission:

As global citizens committed to tolerance and diversity, we call on you not to punish the producers of the JTBC’s Sunam Girls High School Detectives for its kiss scene between two girls. As confirmed by the 2004 Juvenile Protection Act and a 2013 Supreme court ruling, homosexuality cannot be considered as harmful. We urge you to use your influential position to promote diversity, and not to fuel the hate messages targeting sexual minorities.

Reward diversity, don't punish it

Korean Communication Standards Commission is about to punish TV show producers for a kiss scene between two girls ㅡ but we can still ensure our national administration agency defends, not punishes, love and diversity.

After the show “Sunam Girls High School Detectives”, those opposing JTBC delivered thousands of signatures saying the company “promoted homosexuality”. This is not the first time ㅡ whenever brave politicians and leading institutions challenged LGBT discrimination, they were eventually surrendered by the strong voices from the hate groups. Now it’s time to add our support. If we come together now and make it clear that they don’t represent all the public opinions, we can stop JTBC from being punished and start paving a way to pass anti-discrimination law for al the minorities in Korea, including sexual minorities.

KCSC will decide this week. Sign now and call on KCSC not to punish diversity and fuel hatred. Avaaz will deliver the petition straight into the meeting room. Share with everyone.
