Canned Lion Hunting -- Fight Back!

To Richard Anderson, CEO of Delta Airlines:

Canned Lion hunting is a brutal practice that sees hundreds of lions shot dead every year -- often carried back overseas in one of your aeroplanes. We call on you to join other forward-thinking airlines and help end the slaughter by banning the carriage of lion trophies and bones onboard your airline.

Canned Lion Hunting -- Fight Back!
Every year thousands of beautiful lions are farmed in South Africa. Tamed and trusting, they’re then released into small enclosures and shot at close-range with nowhere to run. Wealthy tourists are driving the slaughter and flying home with their bloody cargo -- but together we can block the transport and cut the carnage.

Canned lion hunting is a heartless practice from start to finish -- and it’s exploding in South Africa with almost three lions killed every day. Now two airlines have just banned the carriage of lion trophies, making it harder and more expensive for tourists to get their lion carcasses home.

Let’s use this momentum to push Delta Airlines -- the biggest carrier of lion products -- to do the same. As a global brand it's super sensitive to public pressure, so if we all sign and share we can build a thunderous roar for our lions and make this a public issue it can’t ignore. Sign now and share widely.
