EU: Keep the Internet Free and Open

To the Body of European Regulators of Electronic Communications (BEREC):

We call on you to use all your powers to prevent a two-tiered Internet for the rich and ensure that all data traffic is treated equally. We urge you to close all loopholes in the current proposals that would allow service providers to prioritise certain content and act as gatekeepers, through preferential treatment, “zero-rating” or class-based traffic management. Only in this way you will protect the democratic and open nature of the Internet.

EU: Keep the Internet Free and Open
Our years of campaigning have almost won a free and open Internet across all of Europe -- but big companies are sneaking in a major loophole and we have days to stop them.

Claiming that they need special exemptions for "remote surgery" and other excuses, telecom giants are close to getting the right to free big corporations from data limits -- giving them an Internet fast lane to hand out to the highest bidder. And if Europe's internet falls, companies can export their unfair world wide web to the rest of us.

But a public comment period is open right now, and we know that the side with the loudest call wins almost every time. Let's bring this across the finish line together and win this crucial battle for true net neutrality for the whole planet! Click to join.
