DOJ: Investigate Exxon's Fraud on the Planet!

To US Attorney General Loretta Lynch:

Recent reports reveal that Exxon-Mobil may have known about the disastrous effects of climate change decades ago, yet has since contributed millions to think tanks and organizations that sewed doubt on the science of climate change. If they intentionally misled the public, Exxon has done incalculable damage to our ability to deal with a planetary crisis of existential proportions. The company should be investigated by the Department of Justice immediately.

DOJ: Investigate Exxon's Fraud on the Planet!
This is about potential fraud on a planetary scale. And about what we can do to unravel it.

Reporting just revealed that decades ago, before most of us even knew what "global warming" meant, scientists at the largest oil and gas company in the world, Exxon Mobil, warned their bosses that burning fossil fuels on a global, industrial scale was "potentially catastrophic," and could even eventually "endanger humanity."

While Exxon used that science to map out drilling opportunities in a soon to be melting Arctic, the oil giant was purportedlypumping tens of millions of dollars into boosting a "debate" about climate change in the media where none existed in the scientific consensus.

The company also helped block government action for decades, all to protect its profits.

Now members of Congress, journalists, activists and even
presidential candidatesare calling on the Department of Justice to investigate. But to push the Feds to act against one of the biggest, baddest companies in the world, they'll need to feel the heat from ALL of us.

With a critical UN climate summit weeks way, it's a tipping point moment for climate sanity. Sign now of you think we deserve to know what Exxon knew, and when they knew it!
